Michael Madsen's iconic performance as Budd will return to the big screen as part of the first-ever wide theatrical release of Quentin Tarantino's complete revenge saga, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, on December 5, 2025.
Madsen's portrayal of Budd, Bill's brother and the third target on The Bride's "Death List Five," is one of the most memorable elements of the epic. As the disillusioned, down-on-his-luck former assassin—now working as a bouncer in a strip club and living in a trailer—Budd’s story provides a gritty, human anchor within the film’s operatic scale.

Fans recognize the subtle complexity and dark humor Madsen brought to the character, highlighted by his delivery of one of the film's most famous and oft-quoted lines regarding The Bride: "That woman deserves her revenge and we deserve to die."
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair unites Volume 1 and Volume 2 into a single, seamless, and unrated cinematic experience, presented exactly as writer/director Quentin Tarantino originally intended. This definitive version eliminates the Vol. 1 cliffhanger and the Vol. 2 recap, providing the ultimate, uninterrupted look at The Bride's quest for vengeance against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and its leader, Bill (David Carradine).
The re-release is a major event for film lovers, offering the unique opportunity to see the complete four-hour epic on the big screen, including select showings in glorious 70mm and 35mm film.

The complete film, which also stars Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, and Daryl Hannah, will feature a new, never-before-seen 7½-minute animated sequence and a classic intermission. As a celebrated collaborator with Tarantino, Michael Madsen’s work in Kill Bill stands as a definitive highlight in his legendary career.
