"Cool Chat"
with actor Michael Madsen

"Feel free to chat me up, but try not to ask any stupid questions." MM

  December 21, 2009

"I am very saddened by the death of Brittany Murphy. I only knew her for a short time when we did   the press junket for Sin City. It's sad when someone so young dies; however, I would say that   Hollywood can create an atmosphere for young entertainers that can be very destructive... I hope we   don't find out that she was surrounded by people that were permissive. MM"

  December 10, 2009

"Thank you to all of you who submitted your questions to Michael. In 2010 "Cool Chat" will be going   live. Check back for updates. Happy holidays to you and yours from Michael Madsen and everyone at   MichaelMadsen.com and 13 Hands Publications!"

  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "No."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael, A voice from over the pond. I just received my signed American Badass. Yet   another superb collection of your writing. I want to thank you for continuing with your excellent   work."
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "You are welcome."

QUESTION:  "What is it like working with Quentin Tarantino? How is he as a director? His movies are   great, and you are great when you play in them!!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I think that is a better question for Quentin. Why don't you ask him?"

QUESTION:  "What is your favorite Christmas carol? Your favorite holiday cookie/dessert?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "My favorite carol would be hummm? Jingle Bells. My favorite cookies are   gingerbread girls."

QUESTION:  "A lot of people have been arguing whether it is true or fake about what happened in the   interview with Matt Zaller. Most of them think that the punches are real. Are they? Thank you for your   time."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "It was supposed to be fake, but I accidentally clipped him..."

QUESTION:  "I am enjoying the DVDs of Vengeance Unlimited. My family and I love that series. I wish   it lasted longer. What is the name of the movie you were in where you broke into a house and ended   up falling for the girl who was housesitting?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "The name of the movie was House in the Hill and it was shot in Germany,   and I don't really think it is a very good film."

QUESTION:  "Is there any plans in the near future for any filming in Canada?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "One can only dream."

MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "It's been so long that I have forgotten."

QUESTION:  "Mr. Madsen, When an actor gets paid for a role, how many people does that actor have   to pay other than taxes, like publicists and managers and secretaries and etc. Just curious. Thanks   and love you in films."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I can't answer your question because every deal is slightly different. Your   list looks familar."

QUESTION:  "Do you know Producer Joram Moreka in L.A.?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I've heard the name."

QUESTION:  "Where did you get your turquois ring -and since when do you own it?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I don't know which turquois you are talking about. I've had a lot of rings,   and they come and go."

QUESTION:  "You are always in cowboy boots so I'm curious how many pairs you own? Fran"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Not too many, but I don't really keep count."

QUESTION:  "I actually OWN Against All Hope.....does this surprise you??? Isn't this your   introduction? And do you feel it relates to your life somewhat? You mention drinking and God a   lot....and wow, your hair is just so good in this movie!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "The producers of that film have taken advantage of my better nature and   have re-released the picture without my permission, and at this point they owe me a lot of money. I   was very young when I made that picture, and I don't appreciate being taken advantage of in that   way."

MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "They are red Tony Lamas."

QUESTION:  "Michael, a 1969 Super Bee Pistol Grip, huh? Now that is one sexy ride. Well, you asked   us not to ask any stupid questions, but I gotta know, being from chicago, are you a Bears fan? Fran"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I always try to be a fan of my home teams. I've also always been a fan of a   Pistol Grip."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael, I am a great fan of you even though I didn´t see all of your movies! I am   from Germany. Please tell me, what´s the name of the movie where you are in a Porsche 911 Cabriolet   (there was a bank heist and a woman riding a horse)."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I honestly and truly do not remember, but it sounds pretty cool."

MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I have met him a few times. He has always been a gentleman. Maybe   someday we will be able to work together."

QUESTION:  "How come you weren't in 300?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I wasn't asked."

QUESTION:  "What's your favorite era in cinema? 40s, 50s...? xoxo Cheryl"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Every era has great films. I like 52-68, also a few Eastwood things in the   70s."

QUESTION:  "Loved that turquoise suit you wore at the Festroia. I am Portuguese and am proud you   were there as the guest of honor! Just wondering, are you an Elvis fan because that suit jacket   brought the image to mind of Elvis' gold suit, and the horseshoe ring?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I can't think of a single person on earth who is not an Elvis fan. I did love   my jacket, but it had nothing to do with Elvis."

QUESTION:  "Do you wish you could be an actor back in the Golden Age with the studio contract   system? I think that format is more efficient and of greater quality than the system of today..."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "It would be an interesting idea to try and re-introduce it; however, with   most of the crap that is being pumped out now-a-days, I am not sure I would like to be a victim."

QUESTION:  "Do you like the film In a Lonely Place" starring Bogart? I wish you would do a remake of   the film, but better, you seem like an old and lonely soul much like him?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I'm a great fan of Humphry Bogart. I'm not sure of the title of the film you   are referring to; however, thank you for your comment."

QUESTION:  "Mr. Madsen, I hope your Boone Helm film gets made. I think it would be great. Also, was   Hell Ride actually filmed in Tucson? -Eric from Tucson"

MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Never starred in a movie with Nicolas Cage, nor do I want to."

QUESTION:  "You're a good friend of Dennis Hopper's and you worked a lot of films with him. Can   you tell me about Dennis? Ingrid"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "There aren't enough things I can say about Dennis Hopper. He has been a   true friend and brilliant man. I know we have gone through a lot of similar experiences. If not for him,   I would have never picked up photography. He wrote a foreword for my book and is one of the last   true actors in Hollywood."

QUESTION:  ""Are you ticklish? Be honest...;) x" MICHAEL'S RESPONSE: "Why should I tell you?"   QUESTION: Is that a yes?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "It depends upon what day of the week if I'm ticklish or not."

QUESTION:  "Hi, I love & respect all of your great work. I gotta say you are one damn hot man, it's so   great you do this "Cool Chat". By the way- do you think more actors should do this kind of thing? -   Respect to you on the Brad Pitt drugs comment, Love ya xx"

QUESTION:  "What are your favorite fruits?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Strawberries, kiwi."

QUESTION:  "Do you like gold or silver?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Gold and silver."

QUESTION:  "I've noticed that you participate in the 'Everytime I Die' music video called Kill The   Music. What is the story behind it?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I was asked to make the video by a good friend of mine, Darren Doane. I got   conned into it. We shot on the back lot of Universal. I thought the guys were cool, and I don't know   whatever happened to them. I especially remember the one band member who wanted me to jump up   and down on him while he was laying on the ground. I had cowboy boots on, and I stomped him into   the ground. I guess that's what rock stars do. I don't know if he was brave or just stupid, but the guys   were really cool."

QUESTION:  "Hello Mr. Madsen. Do you feel that any one of your current or future projects has the   chance to become, as they say, "a hit"? Thank you so much for all of the memorable screen moments   you've given to all of us."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "One can only dream of such things as hits. I'm not sure what a hit really is.   I have done some things that people call hits and others that I thought would amount to nothing, but   have. It is a mysterious question. What is a hit? They are hard to come by."

QUESTION:  "Hello Michael, I'm sure I can speak for all of your fans when we say we are excited   about the prospect of you and Harvey Keitel in a tv show together. Is there an update for us? Thank   you."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Harvey is godfather of my son Max. He has been a loving and trustful friend   since Thelma and Louise. I wish I knew more about the project, but it seems to have temporarily   disappeared. We will shoot in NYC two kids, one becoming a cop, and the other a figure in the crime   world. Supposedly we help each other out. It looks like a tried and trusting plot. We both like the   project, but so far nothing has happened. I wish I knew more. If you find out, please let me know."

  September 21, 2009

QUESTION:  "Hello, Mr. Madsen. When approaching your poetry, other than the obvious poems, do   you feel you're more effective a poet when reflecting, or seizing the moment when it happens?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I would hope that I could do both."

QUESTION:  "What movie did you play in that had a little boy in a Halloween costume out of season?   Your character died or was injured."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I have no idea. Maybe it was a Tom Sizemore picture?"

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael, are there any characters that you've played and looked back and thought   you should've done it different?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Yes and no."

QUESTION:  "What's your favorite movie ever?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I would say One-Eyed Jacks which was a western directed by Marlon   Brando starring Marlon and Karl Malden. If you mean a favorite of one of my films, it would be Vice   or Strength and Honour."

QUESTION:  "Kind of a strange question for you, are you and your family interested in your Danish   ancestry? I'm half Danish and half Norwegian and very interested in my Danish ancestry, especially   since my father passed away too early. Love Trine, Oslo, Norway"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I would love to know more about my Danish ancestry and look forward to   visiting Denmark. Always nice to hear from a fellow countryman."

QUESTION:  "Are you ticklish? Be honest...;) x"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Why should I tell you?"

QUESTION:  "As an American studying in Hungary and a HUGE HUGE FAN of yours, I was just   curious as to what you are filming and if you have left Szeged already? I've seen a lot of those motor   homes parked outside my house. Do you have a prominent role? Is there ANY way of perhaps getting   an autograph or photo with you while you are in Szeged? If not, good luck filming. -Sam"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Sam, I am shooting a picture called Magic Boys in and around Hungary.   The Szeged portion is finished. Good luck with your studies."

QUESTION:  "Your character, the Gent, is my all time favorite. Do you plan to work with Larry in the   future on Hell Ride 2, or have you and Mr. Bishop discussed any future projects?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I do believe that Larry is working on Hell Ride: Part Two. If that doesn't   happen, he has another motorcycle story that I hope to be part of. I would work with Larry anytime,   anywhere. I love The Gent and loved Hell Ride.

QUESTION:  "Hello Michael. A while ago you where in Norway visiting Anne. I bought your poetry   book after I saw you there and love it. But how did you like Norway? Did you get to be a tourist? If not,   you are very welcome back to my farm:) Love Sissel"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I was only in Norway a short time and had a busy schedule. I got around   as much as I could and would love to come back someday."

QUESTION:  "Hello Michael, I hope you're OK. I'm impatient to watch your recent work! I’m curious,   tell me please, do you have a biker nickname? Regards, Betty.-"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Dear Betty. You can just call me The Gent."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael, how accurate is IMDB? I've seen your comments about Stray Bullets &   Boone Helm and neither are listed as even 'rumored'. Why is that?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Because Stray Bullet and Boone Helm are real movies that I am actually   developing and not the erroneous information that is usually rendered on IMDB."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael...If you were to change the world...what would you like to do?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "To answer your question might take 3 or 4 days and several thousand   email pages, so let's leave it at that, but thank you for asking."

QUESTION:  "How did you get involved with narrating for Animal Precinct? Is the ASPCA something   you are personally passionate about and involved with?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Animal Precinct was a voiceover job. I was happy to work on the show in   that it was about saving animals. I would have liked to have continued on, but after 3 seasons I think   the top brass wanted a new voice."

QUESTION:  "I saw a clip of a movie where you were an axe murderer and hacking this poor guy to   death in a hallway. Could you please tell me the name of the movie? I'd really like to see it!! And yes,   there are people who saw Florentine. I happen to own it. :)"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "The axe movie is called Tooth and Nail. It was a very low budget sci fi   horror film that was shot in a single day in Philadelphia. I did it as a favor to a young filmmaker to   help him get financing. I have never seen the film. I'm glad you own The Florentine. You are the first   person that I have ever heard of that ever did. Thank you for your question. Hope to hear more."

  QUESTION:  "Do you prefer blondes?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Absolutely."

QUESTION:  "Hello Michael. Could you please tell us, which of your previous characters would you   like to play again in a sequel or prequel? Kisses, Betty.-"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Vic Vega from Reservoir Dogs or The Gent from Hell Ride. Give Quentin a   call and ask him how come we are not in production."

  September 13, 2009

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael… love ya darling. Everybody asks you about your movies, but I'd like to know   what you do for fun, your hobbies, how do ya relax...God Bless, Debbie"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Dear Debbie, I don't have much time to relax. I'm too busy trying to stay   employed. Relaxing is for rich people. I would like to find out what it's like someday."

QUESTION:  "Can I be Mrs. Blonde? X"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I already have one of those, but thanks for the request."

QUESTION:  "Hello Mr. Madsen. You've been speaking about your directorial debut quite a bit. Why   do you feel that now is the time for you to jump into directing? Is it the project or do you just feel   ready?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "First of all, I was born ready. I would have liked to direct a long time ago.   The truth is I've been directing myself for years. It's not as easy as finding the right project. It has to do   with finding the financing which is harder and harder all the time. Boone Helm is a great script. The   kids who have written it are backing me up. I only wish we had the money to get started."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael, I admire your work. Have you been to Canada? If so, where? Did you like it?   By the way, I think it's great you have your own Facebook profile."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I have been to and shot films in every Canadian Province there is and never   had a bad time. One of my favorite films, Vice, was shot in Vancouver."

QUESTION:  "Mr. M, Your photo is on Blanche Barrows' site (Clydes sister-in-law) listed as a famous   celebrity family member. Are celebrities asked permission for these photos to be posted on their site?   Just curious. Bet you’re happy it’s not on Jeffery Dahmer’s. Ha Ha"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I guess my picture is all over the place, and it's a hard thing to keep track   of. I recently had my name and likeness trademarked and now people will have to get permission to   use it. I imagine it's on the site you are talking about because Iv'e been connected to a film called   Bonnie and Clyde that was supposed to start shooting in October. Does Dahmer really have a family   member site? I wouldn't be surprised."

QUESTION:  "Hi!!! My name is Sophie and I’m a French Canadian from Québec...My question for you   is... Why did you accept to play in Hoboken Hollow??? I mean, you are such a great actor, I don’t   know why you didn’t choose to play in a movie with a greater scenario???"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "It's hard to tell, in fact impossible to tell, if a film is going to turn out good. I   wish it was as easy as you think, but thanks for the compliment."

QUESTION:  "I’m anxiously awaiting your new book, wondering if you will be doing any signings for   it? lisa xo"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I'm anxiously waiting also. You'll have to check the website for any signing   info. I'm in eastern Europe at the moment."

QUESTION:  "Michael, Were you every married to Jennifer Tilly or ever dated her? I’ve noticed that   the two of you have been in a lot of movies together and was curious. Thank you, CW"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Jennifer and I have worked together twice, and both times were fun. I   heard she is running around in Vegas these days. Tell her I said, "Hello."

QUESTION:  "Hello, Mr. Madsen. Are there any roles in your career that you've looked back on and   said, "Damn!! I did that?" Also, are there any roles in the future that you feel may have the same   effect?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "There are even more that I have said, "Damn, I should have been in that,"   but I can't complain. I've been lucky."

QUESTION:  "Hello Michael!! Your favorite song is by Frank Sinatra. Did you meet him? Ingrid"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I met Frank in Las Vegas in 1986 at a night club. He settled a small dispute   that I was involved in and the last thing he said to me was, "Don't worry kid, it's gonna get better." He   walked into an elevator, and that was it."

  September 5, 2009

QUESTION:  "Could it be possible to have more pics of The Gent on this site? I love this character! As   you told us, you're the owner of Gent's bike, also the owner of the Gent's suit? Regards, Betty"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I do have the bike and the suit, and a bunch of photos from the film and   would be happy to post them as soon as I get back to LA."

QUESTION:  "Really I think that Press Lennox is cool!! Max Walker is a very good character too. My   next question is, you mentioned your son Christian directed a short film. Any of your other kids   interested in films? Ingrid"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Not yet."

QUESTION:  "Dear Michael, I just read your response to Brad Pitt about legalizing marijuana. I totally   agree with you. I personally have seen what it does with the youth and children, because here in   Holland it already has been legalized. Big mistake, I think!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Thank you, I've been amazed at how many people have responded in   agreement with what I said."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael, I am curious to know if you have ever worked with another actor that you   did not get along with, and if so, how do you deal with that?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "There have been more than a few. Acting can be an embarrassing and   humiliating profession. I don't really hang out a lot with actors. Most of them are pretty self-absorbed.   But you can't really let things like that get into your head. Every form of refuge has its price."

QUESTION:  "Hello Mr. M, With all the projects you have coming up, are there any that you are   particularly looking forward to? If so, what can you tell us about it/them?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I'm looking forward to Stray Bullet which is a cop drama in New Orleans.   I am also trying to get financing for a western called Boone Helm that I want to direct. If one or both of   them happen, I will be a very happy guy."

QUESTION:  "Hi dear Michael! How're you? We have a little request/question...can we have an   opportunity to give our gifts to you if you’re still in Szeged....?! kisses:)"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I can't be sure what gifts you're wanting to give me. Perhaps you can get in   touch with production and find out what my schedule looks like. While I'm in Szeged I am under   contract and don't always have free time. It sounds like a very nice gesture. I just would not want to   accept it unless I know what it was for and to receive it at the proper time. Thank you for your   generous offer."

  September 4, 2009

QUESTION:  "Hello Michael, The Doors is a fantastic movie. Just wondering what it was like to work   with Michael Wincott and Billy Idol who are also cool... Cheers mate, Jim and Skevi"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I liked Michael and Billy very much. Wincott is an under appreciated   talent, and Billy was recovering from a motorcycle accident at the time we were shooting The Doors.   They were both engaging and generous with their time and talent. Film acting can be neurotic and   perplexing to say the least."

QUESTION:  "Hey Mr. Madsen. I’m a Dutch fan of yours, and I saw the whole discussion about   legalizing pot and laughed about it. In Holland using soft drugs is kind of legal and we don’t have the   HUGE drug problems like in the US. But I totally agree with your point about children using drugs. I   am 16 years old, and if I want to I can easily get pot (although I’ve never used it, seriously). In my class   I think about 7 or 8 out of the 30 children have used pot sometime, and about 5 are using it once a   week. So at that point I totally agree with you, I think it absolutely crazy that 14-year-olds can use   drugs! But what do you think is more important: solving the drugs problem or the danger of children   getting easier access to pot?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Of course, my greatest desire would be to solve the problem; however, it   would seem at this point in time that those decisions are being made by Dr Phil. Far be it from me to   come up with a quick answer that would truly mean a way to the truth. Many different things are   handled in many different ways in all parts of the world. I think there's going to be some gigantic   changes coming down the road for us all very soon. I'm not only worried about the drugs but also the   polar bears, the disappearing shore lines, weather changes... I could go on for quite some time, but I   do appreciate the kindness of your question."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael, I just preordered your latest opus...can't wait for it to ship...any plans to   cross the pond soon? Would love to see you on the Jonathan Ross Show..."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Would love to go on Jonathon Ross. Don't know my schedule at the present   time."

QUESTION:  "Johnny Depp says he does not like to watch his films. Do you like to watch yours?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Sometimes."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael, I have been waiting for the time to ask you this question. What inspired you   to make the Free Willy movies when so many of your movies are so violent?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I am a father and had a great time playing a father in the movie. There will   always be time for guns and cigarettes, but how often can you save a whale?"

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael. With all my respect, I think that you are a very handsome man with a   sensual voice, and you are an excellent actor. I'm 33 years old, and if you were single, would you date   me? Yes, I know I'm dreaming... I hope my question doesn't bother you. Betty."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "If 'ands and buts' were candys and nuts, we'd all be whistling Dixie."

QUESTION:  "You are my favorite villain as Mr. Blonde, my favorite biker as The Gent. What of these   characters are your favorite?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "The Gent."

  September 3, 2009

QUESTION:  "Did you serve in the Marines?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "My father's brother was a Marine and he was killed on the beach on D-Day.   My cousin Kenneth was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He received the Bronze Star and the   Distinguished Flying Cross. My father and both his other brothers served in the US Navy. I attempted   to enlist in the Marine Corps as a bargaining agreement for me to be released from incarceration for   some juvenile offenses; however, I was turned down for medical reasons being that I had asthma as a   child, stomach ulcers, and a badly ripped left knee that was a sports injury. You gotta be in tip-top   shape to be a marine, and I didn't make it."

QUESTION:  "Michael, was the phrase in Russian - that was learned by you on the set of Jacked$ -   useful for you later on? :)"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I have learned several Russian phrases. You need to be more specific about   where the one you are talking about took place."

QUESTION:  "Hello Michael, You've always had one of the coolest heads of Hollywood hair. In films   like The Florentine and Last Hour, are those your choices for hair, or the director's? Thanks so much   for all your great work and all the excellence to come."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "My hair choices, unfortunately, have always been mine, and I have always   encountered great opposition from producers, directors and/or the hair and make-up department. In   the end, it was unanimously agreed that it had worked and served the proper propose. Thank you for   being so observant. I didn't know there was actually anyone on earth that saw Florentine."

QUESTION:  "Hello Mr. Madsen, I googled the name Boone Helm, and I was shocked to find out that   it's not just a movie, he really existed!!!!! If this is the same Boone Helm I read about, this will kick ass.   When will we see it? Do you know who is co-starring?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Yes, it is a true story. I'm currently trying to get the movie financed. I don't   have any cast in place yet. If you want to write me a check for $10M, we can go into production   tomorrow."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael. I love to watch you as a biker, specifically as The Gent. Are you going to   make another biker movie soon?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "One can only dream of these sorts of things. I also love The Gent."

QUESTION:  "Hi, how are you doing in Hungary? Michael, you do have two sisters, ...who are you - the   elder brother of them both, or the middle one? Best Regards, Chris."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Yes, I have two sisters. One older and one younger."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael...thanks for your comment to the WWII...I'm from Germany and I think that   war is not the answer!!! Never ever!!! I'm very sorry that you lost family members!!! Do you play in the   TV series Tour of Duty...was that hard for you?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I only got to do one episode of Tour of Duty and was able to play an   American Colonel in a WWII picture called The Last Drop. Tour of Duty was a long time ago, and I   only had a few scenes in The Last Drop. I had a good time with both projects and am mystified that I   have not been asked to do it more often."

QUESTION:  "What do you like most to play, a good or a bad part? I love you in all of your parts!   You're so great!!!!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I don't really have a preference. I play 'em as I get 'em."

QUESTION:  "Michael, my son just joined the Navy and is in Chicago for basic. We are going there for   his graduation. Is there something special you can suggest we see while we are there? Thanks so   much. - Jamie"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Navy Pier, Italian food, the Planet Terrarium, McCormick Place, the   Ambassador Hotel. That should keep you busy."

MICHAEL'S MESSAGE TO HIS FANS: IN MEMORY OF THE 50 MILLION PEOPLE WHO DIED   DURING WWII…

"Today is September 1st, and 70 years ago today WWII started when Germany attacked Poland. My   father lost his brother, my Uncle Kenneth, who was killed on the beach in WWII and my cousin   Kenneth, named after my dad’s brother who was later born, served as a chopper pilot in Vietnam and   got a bronze star and a distinguished flying cross. My father and both of his brothers served in the   United States Navy, and the world remembers that day 70 years ago, with a lot of commemorations   and placing of wreaths and that sort of thing, for the loss of 50 million people during that war.

I’d also like to applaud Quentin Tarantino on his great success on the box office of Inglourious   Basterds. "

  September 1, 2009

QUESTION:  "Who are your favorite authors, be it novelists, poets, etc.?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Early Hemingway, but Ernie was a lousy poet and his later books seemed   like he was imitating himself. The others are John Fante, Charles Bukowski, and Loren Eiseley."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael. Sorry for asking the question about Wyatt Earp and Pulp Fiction. I could   have figured out it’s been asked before. But thanks anyway for answering. You’re a good person."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Thank you for answering my response. I took no offense at the question   and meant none with the answer. I've been trying to settle that matter for years, and I thought it was   done. Any other comments you have will always be greatly appreciated."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael! Big fan. I noticed you seem to have some new tattoos (could be wrong   haha). Do your tattoos have any meaning, and do you plan on getting more? I have a lot, so I’m always   curious. Love & kisses, Lisa in Canada xo"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I do have several tattoos and sometimes add some for different reasons.   Most of my work was done years ago, and I'm in the process of cover jobs lately. Tattoos can become   just like old girlfriends. Sometimes you're glad to see them, and others you wish would disappear   forever."

QUESTION:  "I know that imdb.com isn't completely accurate, but it says that you have like 25 films in   the pipeline. If this is true, then how do you find the time and energy to work so much?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I refuse to answer any questions about imdb until they become reliable   with their information."

  August 31, 2009

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael. You've been mentioning your directorial debut: Boone Helm quite a bit. I   can say for sure that we're all excited about you directing for the first time. What else can you tell us   about Boone Helm?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I wish I had more to tell. I was told there was some interest by Rob Zombie   who had a meeting with the writers; however, Mr. Zombie has chosen not to respond to my phone   call. As for the film, it's one of the best westerns I have ever read, and I'm keen on a directorial debut.   It is only now a matter of finding the financing."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael. Do you regret the fact you chose Wyatt Earp instead of Pulp Fiction?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I have answered that question over a thousand times, and so here is your   answer for the last time. I was contracted to and shooting Wyatt Earp before the beginning of Pulp   Fiction. I asked the director, Larry Kasdan, to start me later in order that I could have also worked on   Pulp Fiction. He refused, and my agent at the time was not very helpful in trying to sort things out.   Should Wyatt Earp have turned out to be a successful film, I would have been called a genius for   doing a western. Pulp Fiction or not, Wyatt Earp was a waste of time. However, I had many long   months in Santa Fe, New Mexico with DeAnna."

QUESTION:  "Do you think you're a good father?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "That's a very personal question. Without knowing more about you, I   cannot answer."

QUESTION:  "Mr. Madsen, you are an inspiration. What inspired your performance or what did you   do to get into character for your role as Budd in Kill Bill Vol. 2?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I bought a white Stetson while shooting a western in Durango. I kept   wearing it to the rehearsal for Kill Bill. Quentin did not want me to wear the hat. I knew then I had   found the center of Budd. Quentin later wrote the scene where Larry Bishop tells me to take off the   hat. That is a true story and the best answer to your question."

QUESTION:  "Our Michael! How're you here in Hungary? What about Szeged? Do you like it? We hope   we'll meet you again......Hugs & kisses, Andi & Dori"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I'm fine, well, and working hard here in Hungary. Thanks for your   message."

QUESTION:  "What is your favorite dog breed...? And what is your favorite animal ...?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Rottweiler is my favorite dog, and my favorite animal is a killer whale."

QUESTION:  "Hi Mike, in what year and how did you meet DeAnna...? And was it love at first sight...?   Bye Bye"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I first met DeAnna when she moved in across the street from my best   friend. It truly was love at first sight; however, it wasn't until sometime later that we began to make   each other's dreams come true."

QUESTION:  "Hey Michael, how are you doing...? I watched the extras on the dvd from Hell Ride,   Michael Madsen’s Diary and your son Luke Ray, he is so cute. xx Ilana"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I would like to thank the Weinstein Company for including my personal   behind the scenes diary which was shot by my good friend and talented musician Tod Spangler."

  August 28, 2009

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael! Linda here. First and foremost I just wanted to say I dig your style as an   actor. Is there any film that you been involved in somehow that you regret, or a film you are not so   satisfied with?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I could have done without Species II. It was ill conceived and badly   presented. If I had access to a time machine, I would have most likely have skipped Wyatt Earp. It   was a long, lonely walk down to the OK Corral. I've tried to help with a lot of low budget stuff, some of   which turned out well and some not, but I always started out with good intentions. A better question   may be, some of the films I would have liked to have had a shot at, but I'm not one to dwell on the   past."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael. How many times did you do the fighting scene with 'nice guy' Eddie in Joe’s   office in Reservoir Dogs?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Three times. The first one Chris and I went a little bit wild. The second time   we were laughing so hard we knocked over a lot of stuff and went out of the frame. The third try is the   one that's in the film."

QUESTION:  "Dear Michael: Thanks for answering my question about De Niro. Now my question is   about your character: what is your favorite? My favorite is Press Lennox. Kisses, Ingrid"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I would have to say at this time, my personal best is Max Walker in the film   Vice. I don't know exactly why, I just really like that film. Thank you for remembering Press."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael, I just wanted to say I think you’re a great actor and I love all your movies,   especially Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs. They are my favorites. I just wanted to ask, was the scene   where you cut the cop's ear off a hard scene for you?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Hard in what way? There could be many ways to answer. There was no   rehearsal. We shot that from four different angles, four different times, and the talking into the ear   was not in the screenplay. It was something I did as a joke to hopefully lighten up the horror of the   moment, which ended up being many people's favorite part for which I have never tried to claim   credit until now."

QUESTION:  "Do you have a favorite song?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Yes. It's Love’s Been Good to Me sung by Frank Sinatra."

  August 26, 2009

QUESTION:  "I saw a clip of you and a group of people having dinner with David Carradine, but you   seemed to disappear before the end. Two questions, where did you go, and if you could have a dinner   party with anyone dead or alive, who would you invite?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I'm not sure what dinner with David you're referring to. I've had several. If   I had another dinner, most likely I would ask for David and Humphrey Bogart, along with Attila the   Hun and the great director George Stevens."

QUESTION:  "Mr. Madsen, you are superb in Donnie Brasco, an underrated film. Do you feel that   despite totally holding your own opposite Pacino & Depp, it reinforced people thinking of you as a bad   guy?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "A lot of my scenes were cut from the film. There was a feeling it was too   much about Sonny Black. I wasn't trying to overshadow Al or Johnnie, only doing my job. I already   had the bad guy tag before that, but it's ok."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael. I've read here that you like big cats. Me too, that's great! My favorite is the   black panther. What is your favorite one?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "The same."

QUESTION:  "Thanks for being so real and straight forward during all the times when fame could   have gotten the best of you. Is it hard to stay focused when the media gives you all that attention?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I don't seek the attention. It's more of a problem for my family than it is for   myself. Perhaps I should have been a lumberjack."

QUESTION:  "Your work is awe inspiring and has real feeling and focus using that Irish gift you call   craft. Where have you learned to become so talented?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "It can only be in the eye of the beholder, and I would never answer that   question with a fifty foot pole."

QUESTION:  "I do not think that people are ready for you to stop acting, and I do not think they will be   happy if you decide to take it easy and let the clothing line pave the way. What about your craft?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "First of all, there is no clothing line as of yet. It's something I'm hoping to   put together. As far as the acting thing, I haven't been offered much at the present time."

QUESTION:  "Michael, I think Bill Maher was talking about the perfectly rolled cigarettes that Brad   rolled at a party in New York. Everyone knows that Pitt was a big time pot smoker. Some fans may   think they know the whole truth, but wasn't it Pitt who did it?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Whatever."

QUESTION:  "Would you like to work with Robert De Niro? He and you are fantastic."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "The great director Sergio Leone was going to put me in a picture with Bob   De Niro; however, Sergio passed away, Which causes me great sadness. I only remember De Niro from   one half-assed handshake that I got from him at a BBQ lunch in Bel Air."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael. How tall are you really? (don’t know if imdb is reliable)"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "6'2" and if it was up to IMDB, I'd be climbing the bean stalk to meet the   jolly green giant."

QUESTION:  "Hi...I have seen your wife in two of your movies, The Price of Air and Fall. Is she also an   actress or works in the movie business?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "No she's not, and she did that to have fun. If she was going to continue an   acting career, we would most likey not be together anymore. I made the mistake of marrying an   actress once and won't repeat it."

QUESTION:  "Where was Clear Lake, WI filmed at? Was any of it based on a true story, or was it   purely fictional?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I shot my part in Los Angeles, and the story was purely fictional. I did the   film as a favor to a friend of mine."

QUESTION:  "Good morning Michael! I must tell you that after seeing you in Reservoir Dogs, now I   know why MEN were created. You are THE EPITOME, no one can take that away baby! Any plans for   book signings in FLA? Michelle."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Thank you for the compliment. As far as any book signing goes, you need to   contact the book publisher to find out any schedules. 13 Hands Publications

QUESTION:  "Do you like the movie Some Like it Hot,and do you have a favorite comedian?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I do like that film very much, and I guess my favorite comedian is a toss up   between Jonathan Winters and Dave Chapelle."

  August 21, 2009

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael from Houston, TX! I think you are amazing. I have 2 questions. One, as Tom   Baker in The Doors , what was it like working with Val Kilmer? He seemed very much in character.   Two, what do you think of Jim Morrison ? Thanks! Cher"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I don't think there are too many people on this earth that can get away   with playing Jim Morrison. I would have liked to have had a crack at it, but I can't sing. Val did a good   job. I run into him from time to time. He's a good friend. I've been to Morrison's grave outside of Paris,   and I've always been a fan."

QUESTION:  "You have the most wonderful eyes that I’ve ever seen... what’s the real color?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "My eyes are green."

QUESTION:  "Hi Mike... what do you like on a woman and what not?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I've always been a legs guy; however, the rump is very important."

QUESTION:  "In your movies, do you have any scenes in bed? What does your wife think about that?   It must be hard to see that!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I've had a few, but I guess that's a better question for DeAnna."

QUESTION:  "Do you like blonde, long-haired women?"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Yes."

QUESTION:  "You and Johnny Depp were totally awesome in the flick, Donnie Brasco . Did you know   that there is an actor who plays on some show on A & E that is copying your style, voice and looks? I   noticed that over the weekend. It is some cop show."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "It's always flattering to be copied. I thought Johnny did a good job as   Dillinger."

QUESTION:  "I read your poem titled False Witness you posted from Kentucky today. That is so   awesome! What inspired you? I am in Cody, Wyoming visiting friends from the past and am awestruck   by your poem posted and the fact that you posted Charles Bukowski's."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I was inspired by Brad's numerous appearances on talk shows trying to sell   a movie."

QUESTION:  "Thanks for posting one of your poems, and I was surprised you posted one from Charles   Bukowski . He was an interesting poet. What did you think about his work? Your work is similar, but   you are so much more together and have your family. Yeah Mike!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I always liked his work because it was very honest. There's nobody quite   like him except maybe Fante, but that's about it."

QUESTION:  "One poet to another, are you sometimes afraid to submit your poetry for fear that it may   expose your soul?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I have had that concern, but it's too late now."

QUESTION:  "Hi Michael. What do you like to do most (with your family) when you have a day off?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Ride motorcycles, go swimming in the pool, and eat BBQ ribs."

QUESTION:  "Hey Michael, I'm 13 and I think you are the best actor. I was just hoping you could tell   me when you think Strength and Honour would come out in America. Thank you Reece"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Thank you very much. It's nice to know I can still get fans out of my   demographic. If you'd like to know more about Strength and Honour, look up   www.strengthandhonourthemovie.com   I'm fairly sure that it will finally get distribution. It received   38 independent film nominations and 21 wins but has been ignored by the studios."

QUESTION:  "Have you read anything by John Fante’s son Dan? Tough, gritty stuff.. in other words,   you'd like it. Cheers"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I never knew that he had a son until recently. I read a really fantastic   article in a Malibu magazine about the life of John Fante . It would have been great to portray him in   the film that was made with Colin Farrell. I wish I'd get those calls once in a while."

QUESTION:  "I realize that you have had a tough time dealing with the death of your friend, Chris   Penn . My son, Caleb passed away due to a 16 year old boy hitting him with a car. I was in shock for   several years over this incident. Were you expecting this?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I don't think anyone ever does, and I don't think the shock ever goes away.   I was shattered, and again recently with David Carradine, went through the whole thing all over   again. I guess I learned a lot from the experience with Chris and was able to handle the loss of David a   bit differently but don't feel I'll ever be the same person having lost them both."

QUESTION:  "I've read that you are coming out with your own clothing line. Will this be available for   fans in Europe?? Nice to see you on Facebook. Love Trine, Oslo, Norway"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I'm working on the clothes thing right now. It's a whole new world for me,   and I hope I can make some progress and get the clothes available worldwide so I can retire from   acting."

QUESTION:  "Michael why are you such a hypocrite? I remember you saying you did marijuana on the   set of Thelma & Louise , and now you’re acting all straight edge? Keep it real man. Don't lie."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "From where do you get the notion that I'm a hypocrite? I never pretended   to be anything that I am. Of course, I have smoked pot and never denied it. I just don't think we   should sell it to children. Before you write me another letter, why don't you keep it real and get your   facts straight before making pompous statements. By the way, I didn't roll the joints on Thelma and   Louise, but Bill Maher was right, they were well done."

  August 17, 2009

MICHAEL'S MESSAGE TO BRAD PITT:  "Although I appreciate a person's right to decide, when I hear   people like you suggesting that we should legalize marijuana, what kind of message does that send to   our children? It's an abomination to our children!"
MICHAEL'S FOLLOW-UP:  "Thank you all very much for all your comments. I thought it was about   time I said something. I liked Brad a lot better before I knew what he thought. He has about as much   business being an Inglourious Basterd as Joan Rivers would have portraying Marilyn Monroe."

QUESTION:  "Brad Pitt must have made the statement regarding marijuana cuz that is what he knew   Bill wanted to hear. The same thing goes about religion. Angie wants her kids to have the right to   choose what to believe. What is wrong with educating them now?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Isn't it sad that Brad has suddenly decided to start saying everything he   thinks everyone wants to hear. I guess he forgot that there are a few that would rather he remain   silent, especially when it comes to children. There are a lot of families that are suffering with   adolescent drug abuse and legalizing marijuana may be good for adults, but it will only make the   problems of our children that more complicated."

QUESTION:  "If you were to post what most Americans believe in regard to Brad Pitt's outrageous   statements he made on Bill Maher, wouldn't it be too controversial? I don't want you hurt by any of   this. But you got to look out for your kids future!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Thank you for using the word "outrageous" for describing Brad. My   comments should be understood as coming from someone who is not in the process of promoting a   movie."

QUESTION:  "Would you go on Bill Maher's show and state your opinion and belief? Bill isn't married   and has no kids, so he doesn't care how he comes across to the people of the US. I am opposed to his   lack of belief in God. Bill likes to cause a ruckus!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I like Bill Maher. Perhaps Quentin should cast him in his next film."

QUESTION:  "I know that you try to stay out of the political light of things, but I believe you are proud   to be an American and like the rights of freedom we have. Have you ever seen the War on Drugs   shown on HBO? I took notes on that program. Scary for kids!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "My Uncle was killed on the beach in WWII. His name was Kenneth   Madsen. I have a cousin that was a chopper pilot in Vietnam. He received the bronze star and a purple   heart. My father Calvin served in the US Navy. I am very aware of the gift of freedom, and I realize that   that gift has a responsibility, and priority number one is to make sure our kids are safe and sound.   Anything that HBO did in defense of adolescent minds should be well thought of."

QUESTION:  "What advice would you have for my son that has gone to welding school, but is   interested in comedy? His name is Ethan. He just rolled a car and had surgery on his hand. He has so   much to go through to get to the right place, like you have."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Tell your son that perseverance will always result in success."

QUESTION:  "Do you think that the work on your poetry has helped you as therapy since you have   had to go through so much in your life? Diane"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I never wrote any poetry for any therapeutic reason. I was only passing the   time and recording some thoughts that may help someone else on the road to wherever it is that they   are going."

QUESTION:  "I have always loved you in all your movies, especially Kill Bill. My question is, you   mention Quinten a lot. Do other producers or other movie makers seek you out, and why do you   consider acting a curse at times? Maybe because work is up and down?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I mention Quentin a lot because when I worked with him he was a genius   and an innovator. He also helped myself and my family through some very trying times. I'm sad to see   that he has gotten off the track of what I once respected, and in that respect, I mean looking after the   forgotten. The acting profession can be best summed up by some of the comments that have been   made by Robert Mitchum. I'm not going to quote them, but I fear the best days of film acting have   passed us by."

QUESTION:  "I just went through all your clips and throughout your whole blog. What a piece of   work! Do you enjoy all of this work of art that you do for us? I respect you more than ever now that I   saw your poem put to video about Tears. God is watching you!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I can only hope that God is watching us all."

QUESTION:  "The fans all over are hit hard with economic times. Do you have any ideas for projects   related to what so many people are going through? I taught in Texas for over 20 years and am back in   Wyoming working now. They would love to see a cycle flick!"
  MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "Email Quentin."

QUESTION:  "Where is that latest poem you are supposed to submit for your blog? We all appreciate   the pictures and quick response to questions submitted. Do you swim or run to get in shape for a   project? I noticed you are buff!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I do swim, and being buff is a new development. I got tired of looking like a   water buffalo. I do have a poem and will post it the next 24 hours."

QUESTION:  "Michael, Do you have any ideas for Pretty Boy Floyd and have you shared your thoughts   with Tarantino? I guess you can do those remakes you talked about. (High Sierra and Key Largo)
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I have suggested all of those to Quentin, and he has turned a blind eye."

QUESTION:  "I have really loved all the information you have given to us on your website and   absolutely love your interviews with the press. Got any plans for an Irish flick in the future?"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I can only dream."

QUESTION:  "Did you think it was pretty boring going to Georgetown, Indiana? I know it’s pretty   small, but people thought you were really nice and you made a lot of people very happy. Thanks for   taking the time to do that for us. Mindie"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I did not find it boring at all, in fact I promised to come back next year, but   when I do, I would like to bring a film to run at the drive in. Are you one of the two Mindies that   didn't know each other?"

QUESTION:  "Michael, my son and I love you. Thank you for all of the movies. First, I heard you had   an Affliction line of clothing coming out. Is that true, and when? Second, I agree with the statement   towards Brad Pitt! Thanks again. Jamie and Reece"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I am waiting for the Michael Madsen Affliction shirt. It isn't ready yet."

QUESTION:  "What do you think about that movie Clear Lake you were in? That looked like an   interesting piece of work. You rock as usual Michael! You never let us down."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "It was a very low budget film. I was helping out a friend who was just   getting started, and I hope it does well for them."

QUESTION:  "Do you think you will ever get a chance to shoot a film with Eastwood or Nicholson since   they are getting up there in years? I suppose you could work with both of them if the part was right for   them. I do not see them turning down the right part!"
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "I don't understand why I have not heard from either one of them in all   these years. It was a missed opportunity for us all."

QUESTION:  "I want to hear your thoughts about your new project Weekend with Jessica Biel, Lucy   Liu and Sharon Stone. Who will be your lover in the film? Thanks."
MICHAEL'S RESPONSE:  "That was a rumor that was put out. It sounds like a good idea, but as far as   I know, it's not a real film."

  August 17, 2009

MICHAEL'S MESSAGE TO BRAD PITT: "Although I appreciate a person's right to decide, when I hear   people like you suggesting that we should legalize marijuana, what kind of message does that send to   our children? It's an abomination to our children!"

READER RESPONSE:  "I agree with you about Brad Pitt wanting to get marijuana legal. Good for   you."

READER RESPONSE:  "Oh, and I do not think that we should legalize drugs and alcohol of any   kind... (and most people even do not know that alcohol goes directly into the lymphatic system-and   stays there forever, not to mention in the mother’s milk for the baby.)thanx."

READER RESPONSE:  "If Brad really said that about legalizing marijuana, then he is crazy. Drugs   make you completely crazy. We should destroy all types of drugs. Drugs must be destroyed. My father   was addicted and is in prison for drug smuggling, so drugs are very bad. Tip 2 readers, stay clean."

READER RESPONSE:  "Brad Pitt does not smoke marijuana because of his children. I think he just   made that statement to stay in the liberal light of things. He would not even answer Bill directly. He   just wanted to make statements."

READER RESPONSE:  "Brad Pitt is kind of like President Obama. He would not answer Bill Maher   directly. He just wants the left wing media to like him and keep Angie happy."

READER RESPONSE:  "I heard that Brad Pitt was also running for mayor in New Orleans or the   people want him to. Does he actually think that smoking marijuana and not stating his belief in God is   going to help his kids? I know he believes in God. Liberals!"

READER RESPONSE:  "Michael, you know that Brad Pitt is just going with the flow of things and he is   not gay, but he is saying that he will marry Angie when all gays can marry and we know that probably   won't happen in our lifetime. You are right!"

READER RESPONSE:  "Michael, You and I both know Brad Pitt is definitely has an agenda with the   left wing media, and he has to back the opinion of his better half while losing his own convictions on   lots of issues. He is a believer of God and he would probably marry Ang."

READER RESPONSE:  "Michael, I do not think the young kids today listen to Brad Pitt. He is never   clear where he stands and wants to stay in the majority of the left wing media's opinion. He did smoke   pot for years. Maybe he wants someone to OK what he did. You rock."

READER RESPONSE:  "Michael, I am really surprised that Brad Pitt even went on Bill Maher's show   on HBO. He usually tries to stay out of any type of issues that would sway what people think of him   one way or the other. He is promoting Inglourious Basterds. Your part!"

READER RESPONSE:  "You know that you do not want your kids to have to go through what you had   to go through Michael, and Brad doesn't want that for his kids either but maybe that is not what the   media wants. He is wishy washy!"

READER RESPONSE:  "Pitt is really treading in dangerous waters with the statements that he made   on Larry King. I also heard that they shut down a movie he tried to take over and he lost about a   million of his own money. Bill Maher is not my idea of what the US believes."

READER RESPONSE:  "I believe in the USA and I am proud of what our forefathers stood for and   what our guys are fighting for in the Middle East. We will never win the holy war. Bill Maher is not   proud of the US and neither is Brad Pitt. God & country, what else is there?"

READER RESPONSE:  "The war on drugs shown on HBO puts a true light on what is going on in the   US as far as drugs go. I am surprised by our conservative politicians. If we legalize marijuana, maybe   Pitt thinks New Orleans would get money!"

READER RESPONSE:  "I guess the country would receive the taxes made from the sale of marijuana   and then the war on drugs would really come into the true light of things. Pitt doesn't want pot   legalized. He is a liberal!"
